Guests also flocked the WTI booth showcasing different geospatial tools and its use cases. A lot of visitors were interested to know more about how they can visualize and analyze their data on a map.

DICT secretary Rodolfo A. Salalima led the launch of the flagship projects with the tagline “One Connection, One Nation.”

The DICT projects unveiled were the National Government Portal (NGP), the National Broadband Plan (NBP), and Pipol Konek- the free Wifi Internet Access in selected public areas nationwide.

DICT targets 100,000 public places to be Wifi ready by 2026. In addition, a national government portal has been created to serve as a one-stop shop for all government services.
